The Beavers, a beloved team from Portland has a long history of over 100 years. The team's name was chosen from a newspaper contest. Having the community be part of choosing a name really helps a community believe in what you are selling!

Baseball in Oregon began in 1866 when the first game of doctors, lawyers, merchants and farmers from Portland put on a game. From there baseball took off in Oregon.
