Frank James Burke at just four feet, seven inches was the first professional player from Montana. Burke was such an inspiration from starting as a mascot to playing professional ball. During his career he even met with three different presidents to talk baseball.

Dave McNally, John Lowenstein and Codi Heuer are some of the names to make it to the MLB from Montana. 

The first game in Montana dates back to 1866 in Virginia City. There are rumors of games taking place before this season, but this is the first box score that we have seen
