There are fifteen MLB teams that participate in Spring Training in the state of Arizona. The Diamondbacks, A’s, Cubs, White Sox, Reds, Guardians, Rockies, Royals, Angels, Dodgers, Brewers, Padres, Giants, Mariners and Rangers all head to Arizona to get ready for the season. 

Ian Kinsler, J.J. Hardy, Andre Eithier, Kole Calhoun, Cody Bellinger and Alex Verdugo are some pros to come from the state of Arizona.

Arizona Elite Baseball Academy, Dirtbags, 5 Star, Desert Ghost, Trosky Arizona, One National, Swarm Elite, and Marucci Athletics are some of the top travel teams in Arizona.

Cam Caminiti(Braves) Drew Rogers(Georgia Tech) Roch Cholowsky(UCLA) Gavin Turley(Oregon State) are a few top prospects over the past few years from Arizona to keep an eye on. 

In the late 1800’s baseball in Arizona was being played at military forts and in mining and railroad towns. MLB teams started visiting for Spring Training in 1947 but it wasn’t until 1998 when the Arizona Diamondbacks joined the MLB.

Althought Arizona does not host a minor league team they do have the ACL.

The Arizona Complex League which is made of players in their first year of professional baseball. Corbin Carroll is a recent super star that played in the ACL. Games are typically free to attend!
